Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm keen to hang out, share Melbourne life and my love of baked beans on toast with others.
Sadly I've no couch to offer - but looking forward to the day when I can.

Interests

Running, well plodding along at the moment...I'm on that painful path of trying to get fit - it's getting there. Anyone interested in plodding together or doing the Run Melbourne in July, then let me know.

What else?...art galleries, cafes, flower shops, DANCING in my own sort of way, teaching myself Ukulele (progress is slow), crochet - another new hobby :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a lot of love for films and music, especially music that derives a lot of feeling and makes me want to dance!
I love to laugh, so comedies are a winner for me.
Sadly I lack the concentration needed for reading novels - always trying though. Curently persisting with - Washington Square by Henry James.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stand out things for me...working in the Northern Territory of Australia with some amazing people and learning about the vast cultural differences.
Volunteering with a community based organisation in Kibera slum in Kenya.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I watched QI recently - I know what a roleaux is.
Also give me time, I may be able to teach you 3 chords on the ukulele.
And finally show you how to just about stand up on a surf board.
