I wanna CODE!!!
I graduated from an interpreting school in Paris which means that I'm into languages... for some reason...
Well, the reason is Michael Jackson. At the age of 8 I used to be his biggest fan and knew that I would meet him one day. Being only 8, I was conscious he didn't speak Polish. That's why I started learning English. So, had it not been for M.J., you might have been forced to read this in Polish...
I love travelling and believe that my way of life reflects that pretty well: I studied in France, worked in the UK for many summers and regularly chill out snowboarding or cycling across Europe.
What else... I've got a very deep & emotional relationship with my bed. I can sleep for 14 hours without a tiniest difficulty. 9am is the crack of dawn for me. I operate best at night. Maybe cause there are fewer distractions...? I am able though to get up even at 4am if I have to.
My main occupation at present time is dancing Lindy Hop and day-dreaming about my upcoming bycicle tour around the world... :-)
For all those interested: the moment I finally got my English up to scratch and was ready to meet Michael Jackson... he died on me!!! :-/
You've only got one life: live it to its fullest!!! Treat others as you'd like to be treated yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf, I host, hang out with fellow CSurfers and sometimes participate in common CouchSurfing meetups.
When I surf, I always try to bring along some Polish food or cook something if no Polish store is in sight.
When I don't travel, I show people around my city (be it Paris or Wroclaw), take out for a coffe or invite for a meal to mine's. So far nobody has died of food poisoning, so I would call my humble participation a success!
My 1st experience staying with a local with my sis at a guy's place in London through HospitalityClub.
I get regularly hosted by the most extraordinary people from both CS and HC when on travels. Many have sorted me out with minimum notice (of... 1 hour for example!) and I'd like to thank all of you for your help!
I particulary like to host cyclists or fellow dancers.
I am also a member of WarmShowers.
Travelling obviously!!! But currently dancing has been consuming more and more of my time, attention and energy. I'm into swing dances, such as Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa etc. And all that comes with it as I LOVE the 20's - 60's era. The costumes, make-up, films (musicals, obviously!!!) and music...
Apart from that, I'm into cycling, snowboarding, cooking, going out, eating out, debating politics and condition of women (feminism?), languages, photography and anything sapphic.
- womens rights
- eating out
Music, Movies, and Books
I never leave home without my MP3. The music genres I like are: all variations of jazz (swing, big band, music from the musicals from the 50's and 60's, bosa nova, nu jazz, electro jazz) through funk, disco, R&B and French standards to electronica & dance, house and chill out.
As for films, musicals rule! My fave films: Singin' in the rain, Mary Poppins and Shrek.
Books... Anything by Umberto Eco. Or Milan Kundera.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cycled 1500km in 12,5 days in June 2009 from Paris to Wroclaw. And then BACK!!! It was a humongous challenge but I met some incredible, fun, helpful people thanks to both CouchSurfing and HospitalityClub. This has been so far the best experience I have ever had (well, this and all the following bike trips I did!).
Amazing thing I've seen? Wroclaw!
