About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet inspiring people and share in their experience of our beautiful world!

ABOUT ME

Well hello there...I'm Gina, an old soul who loves anyone and everything that embraces absurdity. Those who can see humor in our overly serious expectations of life and just enjoy each day as it is.

I love to experience life from all different angles. Listening and sharing stories of far away places and cultures. Always broadening my view of the world.

I recently moved from Amish country in PA to colorful Charleston, SC where I work as an interior designer. You'll often find me at the local farm markets, hammocking on folly, or enjoying the historic sites throughout the area.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take life to seriously. Be kind to all of those around you :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not able to host at the moment, but I often meet for food and drink with hosts and their guests.

I'd love to do more day time events. Feel free to message me if you need a buddy for museums, tours, or just random adventures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to couchsurfing in France, but did not fully understand its true mission until recently when I met a group of them in Charleston, SC. Immediately, I was drawn to their passion for living and love of humanity.

Although I have not surfed yet, I've met a number of wonderful people through my friends who have. Hoping to start traveling again soon :)

Interests

Life, Death, History, Religion, Food, Art, Reading, Hiking, Music, Crafty Stuff, Trees and Collection Vintage crap. I have a shop on Etsy called Vermilion Sun Vintage :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Classic old films, Wes Anderson, period dramas, any documentary on historic people/ events, and awkward kid cartoons.

Books: recent reads...Birth of Venus, Jitterbug Perfume, Glass Castle, and Dress your Family in Corduroy and Denim.

Music: Classic Rock, Prog Rock, Folk, Bluegrass...anything with good lyrics and talented musicians.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel Europe with nothing but a pair of jeans, sneakers and a few t-shirts. Met so many wonderful people that inspired me.
