ABOUT ME

I can't much about myself. It is just the perception of people. Always try to be a sunshine, happy and sometimes a little bit in my own and sometimes a little bit sarcastic. Loyal and trust are important for me.
I love to travel around, enjoy new experiences, doing things in a different way and always busy with living in the moment. Just to open my mind and expand my view how I see life.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is related to the moment of now. No past and no future. Just now. Important is how we deal with this. Stay neutral, don't judge and accept reality as it is. Not as you want it to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I never hosted or couchsurfed before. My hometown is comparing to the famous cities in The Netherlands a boring and there is not much to see and to do. However I offered myself as a host, but no experience yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This will be the first time. Time for a new experience.

Interests

Photography. Not too much. I love to take pictures, but it is more important to enjoy the moment. Save every moment in your mind, not the memory card in your fancy gadget.
Reading psychology books. In common I prefer to read books which involves some study to understand it. At this moment I am reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu.
I like physics and history. One of my favorites when I am traveling is do to (some) research about the country's history. There is more then beach, sun and culture. Understanding the history helps you to understand the culture more.

Music, Movies, and Books

To much good movies and good books to say. From notalgic movies from my childhood to wahatever you can name. As long the movie is not shitty. I prefer to read books about psychology or physics. Actually books that helps you to understand more about nature and people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

10 day Vipassana meditation course during this trip and of course my travel at this moment

Two years ago I was at the top of the Mauna Kea in Hawaii. At 4200m high it was freezing, but the sunset was amazing. Between 2 layers of clouds I never felt so small. A feeling that was even stronger when I drove back to 3000m hight. I stepped out of the car, looked at the sky and was stunned. Never have I seen so much stars and colours in one. The Milky way was like a ring with a huge diamond and for me was this the moment that we all are part of the same universe.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sometimes with a different view and sometimes people with the same point of view and sometimes just people. I don't mind. It goes as it goes.
