About Me

I'm a relatively kind person.
I oscillate between being saturnial and mercurial, but I love people and like to speak with them, listen to them, dance with them and laugh with them.
Let's meet!

"You can't be spontaneous within reason"

Alan Watts

"There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in."

Leonard Cohen

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Surfing & hosting.

Couchsurfing has only offered great experiences everywhere I've been. You don't go places to see the places themselves usually, but to meet the people. This project makes that a lot easier.

Music, literature, drawing, ethnology & folklore, some sports (especially football), philosophy, drinking, smoking, singing, learning, teaching and the combination of coffee and danish pastry.

I get interested in things easily. Things are interesting. Like whiskers, sea shells and giant grasshoppers.

Cooking is also lots of fun. Let's do it together!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a big interest, both listening and some sporadic, rather feeble attempts at playing/making my own. Music is magical, and I think every genre has something unique to offer in a fitting frame of mind.

Leonard Cohen has a special place for me, both as musician, visionary and poet.

I also spend a lot of time reading, and it's also my main occupation at the moment as I'm studying literature. The books I've enjoyed are too many to mention here, but "How to be Tree", a children's book I've made with my friend Steinar, is one of my favourites. At the moment I'm diving into everything Italo Calvino has ever written. Excellent stuff.

Movies are great. Lynch, Cronenberg, Jarmusch, Malick and Fellini are wonderful, among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to say "Have you seen the llama?" in norwegian sign language and other equally crucial life skills for extremely specific situations.
