They would say that I have been bitten by the travel bug. They would also say I'm funny but it's possible that they are just being funny. That I'm passionate about what I do. That I believe in kindness in the world.
I do charity work. I have worked with trafficked victims in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. I am also passionate about refugee issues having worked in that field for nearly a decade as well.
I spend most of my time traveling or planning to travel. Read a book, movies, drinks with friends. The usuals really.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to the floating village in Cambodia on a medical mission. It was an eye opening experience to witness the poor conditions people were living in (no clean water, electricity, kids without education or basic understanding of hygiene) yet they were still happy somehow. It was cool.
I met a random guy in a club in Korea, convinced him to tell me one of the secrets he never told anyone. He then told me that his current father is not his biological father and he just found out that his biological father is now in some hospital battling cancer. Being mad at his father for walking out on him and his mom, he vowed to not visit. I spent 3 hours convincing him that a visit would give him closure. And so at 4am, we hailed a cab and visited 3 hospitals before finding his father. It was a surreal experience.
