About Me

Read between the lines to appreciate the chaos in order

I'm terrible at writing bios about myself. You should just ask my friends. Or meet me and find out for yourself!

BUT, to put down a few words: I'm relaxed and very easy to get along with. I enjoy music, movies and sports, as well as discussing the political and economic situation of the world. I also like eating. And contemplating the existence of aliens.

I believe that there is a reason for our existence on this planet. And that reason is what drives our being.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Had my first CS experience at the Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen, met some cool people there and surfed with them. Have met a few more people in the time that has passed. Its been great and its only been getting better!

My interests include sports, music and traveling. In my past life, in a time long long ago, in a galaxy far far away, I ran my own record label, played bass in a rock n' roll and an extreme metal band, and traveled the Indian country sides on my trusty motorbike. Now, I spend my time watching discovering Germany, while sampling beers from everywhere.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: LOTR, Star Wars. Goes without saying; I'm a big fan of action/adventure movies. Most recently, I loved Hobbit II: Desolation of Smaug. I'm also a big fan of anything by Stanley Kubrick, Quintin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie.

Music: From Aka Moon to Zyklon, Bon Jovi to God Is An Astronaut, Buffalo Springfield to Slayer, Audioslave to Testament, anything and everything goes. Having played with both metal and rock n' roll bands, the music I listen to is quite diverse!
Here's a link to my ex-band!

Books: Pretty much your typical Top 10 fiction list; everything from Michael Crichton to Ken Follet, of course, LOTR and Harry Potter as well. I enjoy Dilbert, Calvin & Hobbes and other comic strips. I really should start reading more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cuban cigar in one hand, fine scotch in the other, sitting by the pier in Bangkok at 3am, watching the shimmering skyline and listening to the sound of the water flowing.
Playing a concert in a tiny pub, the crowds packed like sardines, sweat dripping down my face on to my guitar strings and the crowds scream the words to your own songs louder then you!
Watched Manchester United beat Bayer 04 Leverkusen 5-0 at Leverkusen in the Champion's League group stage!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play the bass guitar, how to pour a Russian Bloody Mary, exercises to get in shape quick and how to painstakingly arrange the music on your computer to sync perfectly with iTunes! I can speak a few Indian languages and I'm quite well versed with the country's history and mythology. If you're interested, I can also teach you to sing completely out of tune! :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Italy, Singapore, Tanzania, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Germany, India, United Arab Emirates
