CURRENT MISSION

Apparently we are in our 60's, but are too busy to actually take that in. We are young at heart, have a very broad spectrum of interests and a wacky sense of humour.

ABOUT ME

I am a registered nurse who has dabbled in a variety of things. Oil Painting, Small business management, Web and computer graphic design. (Still have much to learn and want to put MySQL under my belt over the next 12 months.) My husband has a degree in Chemical Engineering and has worked both in the petrochemical and dairy industry areas. We have both retired and now publish Coffee News. Just as busy as we ever were, just in a new area, with new things to learn. And... loving it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy at this point to offer a bed to likeminded travellers. Not particularly interested in young people who simply want a free bed and shower then move on. Our interest is in meeting people, getting to know them and form ongoing friendships.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although we are new at CouchSurfing, we can say it has been a rewarding and enjoyable experience for us. In the past we have been involved in student exchange programmes, and taken homestay students and local hospital staff for a very long time.

Music, Movies, and Books

We generally enjoy light classical and Jazz music. But don't hold us to that. I enjoy biographies and stories about life, my husband is a science fiction "freak". Movies, well... we don't go to many so don't have a fixed opinion really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I have to stick to only one thing, then I need time to think about this. We do have one claim to fame however. We were the New Zealand Tourists who talked with and took photo's of the thieves who stole the Leonardo DaVinci painting (Madonna and Yarnwinder) from Drumlanrig Castle in Scotland a few years ago.
