ABOUT ME

At this point in my life I feel welcome. Welcome with who I am, where I live and with the future, which I like to brighten with my ideas, energy and positivity. Music, art and poetry are my vehicles, my work, my passion. Without them I would be stuck in one point. I like to move or rather 'to be in motion'. At this moment I work as a sound designer. I make soundtracks for film, theatre and art productions. I love this job. To record the world around me makes me aware of daily reality and poetry. It makes me feel an aware and awake human being.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Some years ago I subscribed for couch surfing. Actually at that time I was looking for a new home to live in and I thought that stories and connections could inspire and help me find a new place. Which happened to be true. Because I move a lot it is good to know people. And it is good that people know you when they are traveling and need a place for food, friendship and shelter.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I slept on sofa's, in livings rooms, on carpets, underneath tables, small couches, big couches, in amazing big beds, in a park on a bench with a tablecloth as a blanket, in a bus full of birds (remarkable story...) and in so many rooms more. Guess that makes me a very flexible sleeper and above all thankful traveler.

Interests

Sound, listening, walking, good fair food, friends, biking, reading, writing songs, calling my mum (actually she calls me more often), traveling by train, playing one guitar, playing the other then playing the next, finding sonic stuff to make new sonic stuff with, collecting shelves on the beach, going to my favorite spot near the Schelde (river in Antwerp) lying in the grass and falling asleep with the sound of ships and seagulls in the distance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Making my own record and still, years later, being amazed about the songs I have written at that time. Which are again an inspiration to keep on writing for the next record to come.
