I'm a student currently spending a semester abroad in Edinburgh, but I'm originally from Missouri in the United States, where I am studying creative writing at my university. I have a passion for travel and I want to see as much of the world as I can! I love animals and very much miss the very large dog that I have a home.

Music, Movies, and Books

My current favorite band is First Aid Kit, but I also love Fun., Of Monsters and Men, The Avett Brothers, the Decemberists, Mumford & Sons, Bastille, Ingrid Michaelson, etc.

I films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Moonrise Kingdom, but I also really love films like She's the Man and Mean Girls. I am interested in going into screenwriting after I graduate, but I lean more towards television than film, so I am going to say my favorite TV shows too! I love The Office (U.S. and also U.K) Parks and Recreation, Doctor Who, blah blah blah.

If I had to pick a favorite book, I would have to say the Catcher in the Rye, but I also love Pride and Prejudice, and Animal Farm, and of course, Harry Potter, among many others. I also love memoirs and biographies, because they are the bees knees.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was seventeen I went to France and Italy with a bunch of girls from my high school, and while we were in Florence, we climbed the 435 steps to the top of the duomo. I am terrified of heights and small spaces, so the climb was not fun at all, but once we got to the top, I saw the most amazing view. I walked around the circle and saw the whole of the city and the hills in the distance and started crying for the beauty of it. It was absolutely incredible.
