About Me

I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in the spring of 2015 and spent last summer working at a summer camp for boys in Maine as their photography counselor. More recently, I've been living and working in Palma de Mallorca since October 2015. I am an assistant teacher of English at a school in the middle of the island.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard from many people that couchsurfing is an excellent way to get to know great people while traveling. I have really enjoyed travel experiences where I get to explore an area with someone who knows a lot about it and is excited to share their knowledge. I like meeting new people and think its one of the best things about traveling!

Interests

Reading is a big one. I enjoy being outside -- running and swimming and biking and hiking are all top of the list. Have been trying to improve my Spanish through Spanish TV/movies/books/language exchanges Recently became addicted to listening to podcasts during my commute and then telling everyone I know that they also need to listen to the same podcasts.

Really enjoy live music, particularly folk music (which reminds me of home). I'm happy when I'm somewhere sunny and warm with people I like in a pretty place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Really into folk, bluegrass, and 90s hip hop.
Middlesex and Catch 22 are two of my favorite books.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking for other people and tend to get really into board games. Mostly I am up for anything! I am happy spending a day walking through a city on my own or leaving the house in the morning with a group for a planned adventure.
