ABOUT ME

Hi. My name is Grace but my friends call me Graciey. I love traveling and experiencing new people and places. I am majoring in International Studies and one day want to work with refugees. Until then I am seeing all that I possibly can see in the world.

I am very respectful, independent, open and an adaptable person. I am very clean as well. I am a vegetarian and I will cook for anyone who asks me too.

PHILOSOPHY

People are people through other people.

It is an IsiXhosa proverb that I learned while in South Africa. I believe that we are nothing without others to help us and guide us in our lives, but also to shape us into the people that we were born to become.

Interests

I love people, cooking, theater, music, exercising, food, coffee and helping people. It takes a lot for me to not have fun, I do like to go out and party with my friends, but not all the time. I am perfectly content staying at home with a few friends or a good book and glass a wine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: folk, indie, rock. I was raised on classic rock 'n' roll.

Movies: I am a sucker for any Romantic Comedy. I also really like documentaries on the earth ( I find them very interesting)

Books: Jane Austen, LOTR, I love Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a safari at Etosha National Park in Namibia. The man that we were staying with, Gabe, was a rhino tracker and specimen collector. He took us out on the back of his truck for a couple hours and we got to see all different types of animals including three male lions. Hands down, best day of my life.
