About Me

I am a student from the United States currently studying at Linköping University in Sweden. I will be in Europe from the January till June of 2017. This is my first time being outside of the United States and I am trying to make every minute of my travels count. I am hoping to experience as much as I can physically, as well as take in as much as I can culturally!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love my hometown of Boise, Idaho, and one of my favorite things is showing people which things I love most about my home. I think this is a win win situation in not only do I get the joy of sharing my hometown, but the person whom I am sharing with gets to experience the city in a more authentic way than if they had simply read a guidebook. The fact that Couchsurfing offers this experience for nearly every city in the world is extraordinary.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Jimmy Buffett, The Eagles, Country, Childish Gambino, Hip Hop, really anything!

Movies: Skyfall, La La Land, The Lobster, Ocean's 11, Anthony Bourdain Parts Unkown, Rick and Morty

Books: The Iliad and The Odyssey, Sherlock Holmes, All The Light We Cannot See, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Won 8 state championships over my years of paying youth football (Soccer)

What I Can Share with Hosts

One of my favorite things is the combination of a good meal and good conversation (Maybe throw in some good beers as well). I am extremely interested in learning about the culture of the countries and places I visit, and how the culture effects the people that live there. I would love to talk with hosts about their experiences living in the places that I visit, as well as share with them my experiences of growing up in a very rural part of the United States.
As far as being a guest goes I travel light and try to remain flexible. I can promise I will be neat and cleanly, and I will of course always be gracious towards and respect my host!
