travel the world without flying :) (sort of)
I'm 31 and travelling around the world though I got stuck in Japan for 2 years and Aus for over a year now. How bad eh :-) I have travelled before through Africa and now I'm heading east until I get back home. That's the plan anyway!
I started in Paris and took the train to Japan, and then ah "flew" to Australia. Didn't really want to fly but that's the way it worked out. I've driven half way round Oz and about to drive the other half.
In Ireland I ran my own company and did that for about 4 years. Now I'm masterminding another Irish business whilst floundering around on the other side of the world. I did go to uni and studied physics but didn't finish. I reckon at some time I will go back but do something else.
I loved living in Japan and eating lots of good sushi... but now I'm in Perth and eating lots of good steak :-)
Time's like money, if you wait until you have any before doing something then you'll never do anything!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed a good few times and had great experiences.
I have hosted a few times, usually I haven't had a place suitable to host.
I have organised quite a few couchsurfing events in Osaka including the famous Sunday Happy Sunday parties which have had up to 40 happy attendees.
I've surfed a few times now and really enjoyed it. I find it a great way to meet new people and gain an insight into places you just wont get at a hostel. Also I've met some great people through the events here in Osaka. Couchsurfers tend to be like good travellers, open minded, relaxed, fun and good people.
I love blue sky, green grass and golden sand making love to cobalt or aquamarine water. Now that's an image that'll give you pause next time you're 'bout to step into a frothy sea ;-)
But hey, who doesn't love those things!
So I also love travelling, beer :) coffee, the smell of leather, books and cut grass. Meeting people, adventure, martial arts (big time), football, computers, reading, sports and more. Also, throw me a good puzzle or problem and I'll chew on it for a while.
So many really but adventure and traveling is a big thing for me. Yep I like to plan but damnit there comes a time when plans must go out the window and you just gota do it!
- bungee jumping

Música, películas y libros
U2, Foo Fighters, killers, cold play and so much more really. I kinda go for songs I like over artists.
I like sci-fi and fantasy books they rock, but intelligent ones not just your usual oh look there's an alien with superior technology lets kill it!
Example, the new Battlestar Galactica series was fantastic. Emotional, gritty, character driven, dripping in tension with fantastic writing. You could almost forget there was a few robots wandering around in the background.
A game of Thrones again, is a fantastic series, raw, honest and atypical, full of twists and the unexpected. There are no hero's just people slugging it out in the mud.
The Walking Dead is another fine example of excellent writing and production, taking real, deep characters and putting them in terrible situations, compelling them to react. Things like this force us to consider the consequences of our actions.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Did the highest bungee jump in the world in South Africa - 216 metres and I was f**king terrified!!!
Seen the pyramids too - wicked
Passed myself off as a Russian, it took 2 minutes for me to convince the television crew I couldn't speak Russian!
I really want to see both the Northern and Southern lights!!
