Overview
About Me
I am 37 and married to my wife and fellow couch surfer Veronica Uribe-Kessler. I like to think I am a youthful 37. Grew up in Virginia Beach less then one mile from the beach so used to the craziness living near a resort area can bring. Left Virginia beach to attend college at JMU in the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia. Then moved to Alexandria VA to begin my current career as a patent examiner. Having lived most of my life in Virginia I identify as a Virginian.
Recently I moved to Northampton, MA so my wife could attend college on scholarship, however I still need to travel to Alexandria, VA sometimes for work and could use a place to stay in the DC area and would enjoy making some new friends as well as traveling to other places. My wife and I bought our first place in Northampton MA and could potentially host in Northampton MA as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would benefit having a place to stay that is metro accessible to Alexandria, VA when I am in the area for work. In addition, I would like to make more friends and travel to other places across the world. I have been already active in the local DC couch surfing social events, however I have never actually surfed on someones couch or hosted someone directly through couchsurfing.
Interests
I am told my close friends I am a good cook, however I am my own biggest critic. I enjoy outdoor activities always over going to see a movie or watching tv. Studying as an engineer and working as a patent examiner I can geek out on technology conversations. I enjoy relaxing things to de-stress from my busy like such as seeing art, being in nature, exercising, yoga and meditating.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie is my Blue Heaven with Steve Martin and Rick Morranis
Favorite Book is "Be Here Now" by Ram Dass
I enjoy a wide variety of music and believe all music has a time and place where it is well suited.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I after sneaking into a sold out Bass Nectar show through a back door of a club I made it to the stage and was escorted out. Afterwards, not to be defeated I found the tour bus driver for Bass Nectar somehow and he got me into the show with his personal laminated pass. Not heroic, but pretty cool and displays I can be persistent and find ways often to make things work.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share some perspective on patents, cooking, exercising, places and things to do in Virginia.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some perspective on patents, cooking, exercising, places and things to do in Virginia. I would be willing to buy some food/drinks to share as well.
