CouchSurf in Kunming and Weishan, Yunnan Province, China for July & Aug 2011

ABOUT ME

I am a married 32 year old graduate student at the University of Oregon focusing on International Education and China (language and culture). I currently live in Eugene, Oregon but am going to conduct research in China (Kunming, Weishan, Lijiang, Dali) during Summer 2011. I am friendly, outgoing, and enjoy socializing with people over tasty beverages. In the States, I spend most of my time doing schoolwork or work, biking, playing disc golf, singing in my band, and learning the violin. I taught English in Shenzhen for 9 months, so this won't be my first time to China. I'm looking for a safe place to stay in Kunming in July 2011 for two weeks and would happily return the favor for fellow travelers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I generally travel to places where I know a friend who I can visit and stay with them, but I have meet friendly people all over the world in my travels who have invited me to stay with them in Italy, Ghana, China, and the States.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can believe how fortunate I am to have traveled around the world (China, Ghana, Europe, North America)! There are so many awesome places and stories that happened in all of these areas, but a couple that top my list are the Tiger Leaping Gorge and Crate Lake.
