CURRENT MISSION

My current mission lies in the fields of art and geometry where I have been exploring the construction of spherical structures to hopefully one day provide emergency, autonomous, and potentially nomadic habitat.

ABOUT ME

I spend much of my time working in my studio on drawings, sculptures, collages, furniture, and repairing old tools and junk. For many years I have had an interest in geometry and geodesic domes and my mind is constantly exploring new configuratons and possibilities. I get around mostly by bicycle and rollerblades, frequenting coffee shops, bookstores, and live music venues(including the homes of many musician friends). For the past six or so years I have been working a few months a year at Arcosanti in central Arizona. Arcosanti is an experimental urban desert community and wonderful place for artists and travellers.

PHILOSOPHY

So far a philosophy of living, loving, and learning, holding tightly to ones dreams, and never giving up seem for me something, among much else, for which to strive.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In many years of travelling, I have slept on many couches, but have yet to connect with one or its owners through CouchSurfing. I look forward to this new form of adventure and diplomacy.

With the help of my friend, one summer we built, using a pile of stainless steel tubing, a 35ft. diameter geodesic dome.

Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe

I enjoy teaching people, especially kids, how to construct geometric models, beginning with foldable structures and advancing to the regular poyhedra, which are a finite set of three-dimensional forms composed of equilateral triangles, sqaures, and pentagons.
