About Me

ABOUT ME

An outdoors kid who somehow turned into a computer geek. I think I'm a good listener, provocative and a bit too rational at times. I love to play football and tennis as well as surfing/bodyboarding, but I also spend a lot of time reading and watching movies. I've always had a preference for exact sciences, but recently I've become very interested in Economy and Psychology so I'm trying to learn a bit more on that front.

Now, after 8 years working as a software engineer, I've decided to take a break to travel, surf and learn some new tricks, so I set off in May 2013 with no idea if/when I'll come back.

In 2009 I changed my original profile here on CS to include my girlfriend, as we were living together, but then we split up and it wouldn't be fair to hijack it back to myself, as a bunch of references there were left for the two of us. That's why I created this new one, and if you want to check some of the references our hosts/guests left us, you can check my original profile.

My BeWelcome profile.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host people who understand this is about hospitality/culture-exchange and not free accommodation. ;) (Sometimes I tell our guests about bewelcome.org as well, and why I support it)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted a lot more than we've been hosted and every time we met amazing people and had lots of fun with them. We find that hosting people is only worth it when we have some time to spend with them and they're willing to spend some time with us; that's why we prefer to host on weekends.
