The moments where I am the happiest are when I am with a group of friends, learning of new things, people, places or cultures. I love being fascinated and all of those who fascinates me. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently heard about couchsurfing and instantly thought it sounds amazing! I love to meet local people when I travel, as I think it adds another dimension to a trip. This combined with fascination of peoples cultures I hopes makes this a perfect forum!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 20, I packed my life together and moved to Latvia for my studies. Not knowing anybody there, nothing about the country, not even knowing how it is to move out from my childhood home, it was a huge step for me. I took the risk, and the pay-off was huge. Best decision I ever made.

Teach, Learn, Share

Swedes are extremely cold on the surface. When we pass people on the street you would have to be extremely satisfied with a little nod. When we wait for the bus we stand 10 meters from each other to avoid awkwardness. Try innocently flirting with one and they will run away in horror.

If you however get past the initial greeting, you will have found yourself the Swede living within, who all along have been searching for somebody to pour out all that friendliness to.

And we also love hugs!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I refuse to grow up, and I will bring that spirit with me, sharing with anyone willing of accepting it. I do my best to share that energy with my surrounding, hopefully changing the day to day life of people around me. I can offer a new pair of eyes and perhaps changing the way you see your own city and culture.
