ABOUT ME

At 6'5"(197 cm), you're not too likely to miss me in a crowd! My career has allowed me to travel extensively and I'm far from tired of it! As a matter of fact, I plan to retire to an RV (recreational vehicle) at some point, and trade it in on a boat when I run out of land!

PHILOSOPHY

Get busy living, or get busy dying! I believe that a life is the sum total of it's experiences, and I'd like to fill mine to the bursting point.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been on both ends numerous times. I belong to a worldwide medieval re-creation group (the Society for Creative Anachronism) and whenever there is an event in my area, I open my home to members from other Kingdoms who could not otherwise have afforded to come. Similarly, if I wish to fly to an event more than 1000 km away, I will seek and usually find a kindred spirit in that area. Also, the US Navy occasionally runs an 'adopt-a-sailor' program where you can stay with a local family while visiting a foreign port, or in homeport if you can't get back to your loved ones for a major holiday. With the exception of one TRULY obnoxious drunkard, all of my experiences have been thoroughly enjoyable.

Interesses

If you read my education, you'll have anticipated that they are quite diverse. Mainly, anything I haven't seen or done yet! I'm a big fan of Ancient History and I've studied Astrophysics. It's the here and now of a daily job that wears at my wanderlust.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Wow.....I guess the one experience that I remember the best was renting a kayak in Phuket, Thailand and going with a group of locals through a large series of open water caverns. The crystalline structures in the rock reflected the sunlight in an absolutely stunning fashion. It was the most amazing display of the beauty of nature that I have ever seen.
