About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Vagabond at Large

ABOUT ME

Currently, a friendly midwestern transplant. Enjoy hostels and travel myself as well as others who enjoy same.

PHILOSOPHY

Always try new things to keep reinventing myself. It keeps me flexible. I would rather have interesting stories and memories than a straight path I followed according to a fixed plan laid out for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a rookie - just starting to observe...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a kid, my parents tossed us around on sleeping bags all over the U.S. and I move around a lot, so in between, I make connections and crash at new and old friends places sharing stories.

Interests

I love watching people in their element, learning cooking, stories, arts, crafts, biking, or just walking. White water rafting, lake kayaking, a little sailing on hobie cats. Theater/Film/ Botanical Gardens

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything out of the mainstream that I cannot predict the ending, especially when I am restless and heading towards boredom is great for a movie. European films are great for that. Latin music is one of my favorite genres, but I love delta blues, some jazz, pop. Books - ahh so many - Motorcycle Diaries, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Freakonomics, a weird mix...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Okay - maybe not so amazing to some - but for me it was Skydiving.

Teach, Learn, Share

I just started stone sculpting and I journal (of course) and create interesting assemblages out of reclaimed items. I call it Rescue Art. Some call it crap.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
