About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn. Love. Laugh. Live.

ABOUT ME

Hi there. My name's Giselle, and I'm a dance major at UC Irvine, California. I'm originally from Riverside, California, and am best friends with my younger sister, Gelsey. I am very passionate about the arts, dance, music, film, paint, but mostly dance and music. I've been dancing my whole life, mostly ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, tap, ballroom, Russian folk dance, and just many more. I've also played the piano since I was 5 years old.....what can I say, I come from an entertaining family! Haha.....we definitely love the entertainment industry, and more than that, world cultures. I hope one day to travel all of it! I'm a firm believer in that you can never see too little. So let's see where this goes...let the games begin!

PHILOSOPHY

Quotes I respect and believe in:
"Well-behaved women rarely make history."
"The best things in life happen on accident."
"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
"Don't make someone a priority if they only make you an option."
"Laughter is the shortest distance between two people."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've never even heard about couch surfing until my younger sister actually brough it up. It turns out, that in 2009 we both plan on going to Europe-- just a sister deal. But with us being supported by our parents still, and tight on money, you could imagine the trouble we are somewhat in a pickle! I am definitely interested to see what we can get by using this program!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never tried it before, but hope to in the future!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was actually able to perform in the Arts Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2003 with the Burklyn Ballet Theatre. Hands down, an unforgettable experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

My best advice, is to take as many pictures as you can, or even video record, pictures tend to be looked over more frequently than video though. Also, when you travel keep a journal. It takes about 15-20 minutes every night before you go to sleep, and just write about every single thing that you did that day. Write about what you ate, what you did, what you learned, what you felt, if you were happy, sad, excited, amazed, and the people you met, experiences you liked, didn't like. I promise, doing simly that will be the most rewarding experience of your life.
