* A wanderer of life interested in philosophy, free software and Open Source, rock climbing&mountaineering, running, biking, music and sightseeing.
* Free software for freedom (a.k.a. free as in freedom, not as in free beer ;) ) also a Linux and computer geek. (Not nerd nor asocial, you would see :) )
* Music for all parts of life and an eclectic music taste that varies in many genres.
* Wines, drinks, cinema, photography, art, music (genres/instruments/-ians), philosophy, science..
* Football enthusiastic, not a blind fanatic, but keen on analytics, football sociology and its facts.. Galatasaray SK and Barcelona FC fan ;)
* Talkative person.. just draw my attention and then I would talk on your subjects I've curiosity about :)

* Trekking/Mountaineering/Rock Climbing/Canyoning!!.. Definitely a passion for nature. Hours of walking and climbing and the journey despite the fatigue is something like a therapy..
(list will be expanded as I remember what I forgot while writing these..)
"Remember that happiness is a way of travel, not a destination." Roy Goodman ..
"God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh." Voltaire ..
"You can kill the protestor but you can't kill the protest!" a song from a US punk group. Just liked the sentence ;)
"I don't play against a particular team, I play against the idea of losing." - Eric "the King" Cantona
"Allright now, the whole world is watching now. I wish you could see, what I can see. Sometimes you have to get up really high to understand how small you are. I'm going home now." - Felix Baumgartner, after jumping from 128K feet above ground. 14.10.2012
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to share time with all others who would like to share things about life..
For the coaches, take a look at Couch Information part.
Offering a coffee or a drink, meetup in town and if I have time, help travellers sightsee my land..
Would like to meet with new people so that I can discover new worlds.
From 4th to 11th of October, 2014 Lana stayed at my place. It was smt like a blind CS hosting for me :) Her host canceled at last minute and we have a mutual friend, that's how we meet. Later, she moved to a new place but we still keep in touch, go and chill out together and enjoyed Istanbul during her stay.
From 22nd to 27th of July, 2014, Karin and her friend Minna have been my guests. We couldn't find time to spend together, as I was working in the weekdays and couldn't find chance to go out in the night (And the weather was too hot in Istanbul, the kind that emits your life energy :) )
Between May 22nd-24th, me and my friend Elif have been Veronica and Ivailo's guests in Varna, Bulgaria. It was a nice experience to visit Varna with their guidance. Warmhearted and activist fellows, it was wonderful to find them in Varna :)
2014's first guests were Katerina, Maria and Konstantinos. We spent wonderful time together, check our references to each other :) It was my longest CS experience so far, and it was wonderful to spend time with those Greek fellas :)
From November 27th to December 5th 2013, I've hosted Sam. She was Inge's company while cycling from Brussels to Istanbul. We spent a good week, cycled in Istanbul and Prince Islands, chatting, drinking, watching LOTR, as I concluded that Sam is actually Samwise Gamgee :p It was nice to host Sam and share time with Sam, Inge and Yves. They also have been guests of my fellow friend Tutku.
From September 27th to October 1st 2013, I've hosted Martino and his sister Camilla. Easygoing and cheerful brethren from Imola, and ethusiastic travelers who has gone to Erzurum instead of touristic Antalya :) It was a pleasure to host them, hope to meet in the future!
From August 22 to 25 2013, I've hosted Tabea and Andreas. Such nice fellas from Germany, easy to get along with, time well spent with cheerful conversations, good music, good drinks and warm smiles ;)
May 5 to 8 (or 9th, I don't remember well) 2013 I've hosted Byron and Emelie.
20-21 January, and 9-10 days in the second half of February -> I hosted Inge. At the first week of Jan, She stayed with Sofia. Later on, she has been my guest with Ken and after Ken has left, alone. She holds the record of my longest staying Cser guest yet :p
15-21 February 2013 -> I hosted Andreas, a German climber. We also climbed together in Istanbul.
18-20 January 2013 -> I hosted two housemates from Ankara, Michal and Ewelina. It's good to know I have "yabanci"(Turkish word for foreigner) friends in Ankara whom I can visit :)
6-9 November 2012 -> I hosted an italian climber couple Linda and Andrea for 3 days. They were my first guests in Istanbul :)
14-20 November 2010 - > I was visiting a childhood friend in Basel, then I went to Zurich for sightseeing. I've contacted with 4-5 CSers, but couldn't manage to be their guests, 'cause a friend of mine from Istanbul found a local friend in whose house I've stayed. :)
22-24 July 2009 - > Accompanied my fellow friend Hasan with his Polish guests Iwona and Jarek .
summary: Although our guests have not stayed in my house, I can claim that this would be my first "host" experience. (I spent a night at Hasan's too) Another thing, while hosting them, Hasan and I agreed on being house mates as we both have plans to move into Istanbul for grad lessons.
26 December 2008 - > CouchSurfing Meeting @ Blues Bar in Ankara..
summary: thanks Mehmet and Sanne for organizing the meeting and all others for coming.
23 January 2009 - > CouchSurfing Meeting @ Blues Bar in Ankara..
summary: Mehmet, Naz, Juan and me hanged around Ankara drank a lot, chatted a lot :D wonderful night ;)
8 February 2009 - > Edirne CS Meeting @ Cafe Pena.. Thanks İbrahim, Özlem and Levent for participating. I really enjoyed spending time and sharing the CS spirit with those fellow CSers and eager travellers :) It's also good to know fellow citizens of my hometown participating in CS kinda stuff ;)
About a year or two, I've not participated in CS activities, I don't know why :) CS Istanbul group is somewhat complicated, maybe I couldn't find time to keep in touch with CSers.
