Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I eagerly volunteer my parents house in Winnipeg to couchsurfers when I can because CS has made a huge difference to my experience of travel and allows people to get insight into the local culture. My parents have the perfect combination of a convenient location, a well-stocked fridge, interesting dinner time stories, and the opportunity to see the REAL beauty of this prairie city!!
I first used couchsurfing while doing a bike trip across Canada. It wasn't part of the plan but came in handy due to the ongoing rain. I've had fabulous experiences since then both hosting and visiting, and I love to meet fellow travellers whenever the opportunity allows.
Travelling, reading, dancing, social justice, education, world events & issues, arts-based practices, healing & reconciliation, meeting new people, basically trying anything new!
Music, Movies, and Books
Motorcycle diaries, anything by Paulo Coelho, music covers
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to get into in just this little box... pick a year or a continent, and then ask!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little about a lot of things...I'm a chameleon who can fit in anywhere rather than a Master of any one domain. I'm sure we'll be able to find some common ground or at least plenty to talk about :)
