About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See more of my own country (the USA) during the next year. I have the opportunity to work remotely, so I am going to make it one big American Road Trip.

ABOUT ME

I'm work for a kids' cooking magazine. My passions are youth development, food, being outside, walking long distances while exploring new cities, and a good public transportation system.

I grew up in New Jersey, fled to Boston for a college education and city living, fled to Oahu, Hawaii for warm weather, and then headed back to New Jersey for log cabin life on a lake.

Working on figuring out how to eat in, sleep in, explore, and soak up every city on "the list." For now, tackling exploring my own country, which I've neglected.

PHILOSOPHY

My love is shown through postcards, e-mailed articles, handmade crafts and restaurant recommendations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a lot of friends who have hosted couch surfers, but I have been living in some isolated places for the past few years including a beach hut in Oahu and a log cabin in the Pine Barrens. I'm a little unsettled at the moment traveling around, but once I plant some roots, I'll make sure to invest in a couch comfortable enough to host future friends from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't used this site to couch surf yet, but I have slept on my fair share of couches around the globe. Friends have hosted all across New Zealand, Australia, and the East and West Coast. I'm excited to try to see more of the USA this year by meeting other couch surfers.

A beautiful Tranz Alpine train trip across New Zealand through the mountains during a month long visit to NZ and Australia visiting friends.
