ABOUT ME

My name is Julie, and I am writing on behalf of both myself and my wonderful girlfriend, Laura. We have been dating since September of 2008 and began a relationship in January 2009. We are both interested in changing the landscape of the American educational system, and we are finding our way into it.

Laura is very genuine and is kind to all things that purr (cats especially) : ) She cannot stay away from the outdoors for very long, and she particularly loves hiking and camping. Endlessly curious and honest. She sees beauty in all human beings and smiles with the heart of a thousand trees. Seeks adventures and new terrain.

Currently, I am saving money for graduate school by working in a nursing home. I'm an Activities Assistant, which means that I play, laugh, cry, and reminisce with the elderly to the best of my ability. The things I find myself doing that I enjoy the most are reading, journaling, painting, yoga, and keeping myself in the present moment.

Together, we make ourselves laugh with ideas of things we can only describe with lots of hand gestures and sounds. We each appreciate music and would love to add musical instruments to our list of talents. We're both stuck on piano, but we'll play you the little bit that we know : )

Basically, we are lovers of life and everything in it.
