My name is Hannah and I am currently backpacking in New Zealand.

Before my journey I have been studying chemistry at the university in Würzburg, Germany. As I am planning to change my course of studies, I considered this to be a good point of time to take a break. This timeout is supposed to help me find my way and place in life because I have not jet found the right thing for me.
Therefore I decided to visit a foreign country for 8 months of backpacking travel which are supposed to help me finding myself.
And on this journey I would love you to be a part of it.

Since 19 years I have been living in a house with a beautiful garden in Würzburg, Germany at first with my whole family and later on with my mother, two brothers and our turtle as my parents got divorced. I have three further siblings and a dog at my fathers place who I am visiting regularly. So in total I have one sister, aged 16 and four brothers aged 26, 16, 10 and 5 which means as I am 19 years old that I only have one elder brother.
This taught me early that for living together solidarity, harmony and support are essential:)

At school I tutored other children in english, latin, maths and chemistry, sometimes in groups, sometimes individually.
For financing my studies I was working at a restaurant as a cook maid. Ironically I still can't cook because topping and baking pizzas didn't really help learning it :D but I'd really love to!

At the beginning of my backpacking tour I was working in Auckland but I decided to leave after a few weeks and start traveling.
I am traveling with the stray bus and will finish the north island around new year and start the south island right on the first day of 2017, new year new island;)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing seems like a good opportunity to get to known to country and people.
I have been staying in hostels a lot. This made me meet people from many many different countries which is really amazing! However it made me poor :D
So I met someone who told me about couchsurfing and her experiences so far which convinced me to try it myself:) I am open and happy to learn as much as possible from hosts as well as giving back by telling my stories and sharing my culture!

Intereses

My hobbies mainly include physical activities like for example doing lots of sports at the gym and outdoors, dancing, running, bicycling, trekking and walking. These interests are associated with my love of travelling and nature as well as my pleasure in going out with friends and meeting new people.
Further I like playing the violine and listening to music, crafting, painting, reading and shopping.
I also would love to learn cooking!
