ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and moved to New York City about 10 days after graduating highschool. I went to a small musical theater conservatory (I am VERY into the arts,....MUSIC, acting, dance, painting...) I have now lived in NYC for 5 years and have been traveling all over the united states. I went to Krakow, Poland last year, and now i want to travel the world...just like everyone else on this site :)...but thats why i joined! I am up for ANY adventure or experience and I figured this is the place to meet other people like myself!

PHILOSOPHY

The last 5 years I've spent in NYC have completely molded me into who I am. Life in this city is a constant struggle. Through the experience I've had here, I have learned to enjoy EVERY single little moment in life that I possibly can. I've loved and lost and I want to spend every moment of the rest of my life, exploring, learning and having a great time doing it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed anywhere yet, but I am in the works of a trip to Ireland over the summer, and possibly Spain or Italy in the fall/spring. AND....i live in NYC! and i want anyone and everyone to come visit this place and see how great it is!

Interests

I am interested in ANY and ALL types of music, from Beethoven to Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong to Lily Allen...I want to see live, local music everywhere i travel. I love cooking and trying new foods...especially seasonal and LOCAL ingredients. And i absolutely LOVE throwing myself into a completely new culture and learning everything about the history, traditions, and life!...and i also love trying new beers!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a sincere appreciation for any music I hear...i appreciate it ALL ....but i LOVE jazz, rock, funk, soul, blues....As far as movies go, for me to like it, i need to feel something from it. Whether it makes me incredibly sad, or happy or inspired or scared!...as long as the script and performances are 100% committed and make me feel... SOMETHING, i like it! I like reading inspiring or funny books, travel books, and cook books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Growing up in Washington State and seeing tremendous mountains and the beautiful Earth everyday was amazing. Now that I've traveled all over the US and parts of Europe I still have not seen anything that compares.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to share my love of the arts with people. Come to NYC, every day that you're here and everything that you see will be art. From architecture to street performers, to classical and modern art museums, to local bands jamming in the subway or in the small music venues ALL OVER. We need to realize that we only have one Earth. It is beautiful and unbelievable, and i want other people to be excited to experience that everyday!
