About Me

Travelling and working through Australia, falling in love with this beautiful country as every week passes. Currently on my first year visa and working to obtain my second year one whilst living and working on a farm in the far north reaches of Queensland.

Originally from Essex, England a 28 year old woman with a desire to explore the world; I have given up my career to see and experience as much as I possibly can. I value good friendships, cracking sense of humour, good food and people who are open with themselves and others - Voted one of the UK's top travel bloggers in 2014 and 2015.

It's not the destination that's important, it's the journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, to try and experience a different side of where I travel that you can't find staying in tourist trodden areas.

Travel, meeting new people, good food and writing about all three things, I love adventure, the great outdoors, cities, mountains and most importantly the sea. I spend a great amount of my time writing and documenting my travels through photography.

I also enjoy a drink with friends, great big belly laughs and creating good memories.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is incredibly varied, from Folk to Deep House, Dance to rock, Bruce Springsteen is considered The Boss but I will move my feet to pretty much anything.

My favourite movies would have to be Lost in Translation, Amelie, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Favourite Books: On The Road, Child 44, Dharma Bums, Anything by Bill Byson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing moment of my life was climbing a volcano in Nicaragua, through the jungle, to the sounds of howler monkeys.

Also, kayaking the most shark-ridden lake in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting any kind of person, everyone has a story to tell and a lesson to share.
