PHILOSOPHY

I think we should all strive to see as much of the world as we can, to gain a better understanding of every culture. If everyone understood everyone else's perspective, wouldn't this world be a friendlier place?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I think of my favorite travel memories, I think of the people I met. I love the idea of traveling and getting to know people all over!

Interests

Music & singing, meeting new people, exploring unique places, going out, doing sports (especially soccer, bouldering, and Ultimate Frisbee), playing games (card games, board games, etc). But most of all I love getting to know other people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and honestly most sci-fi and fantasy books, movies, & TV shows. My favorite TV shows include: The Handmaid's Tale, Stranger Things, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Outlander, Friends, New Girl, etc. Currently reading the Outlander series.

I studied classical singing in college, so naturally I enjoy that genre, but really I like almost all music -- besides Country Western.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got a "free" helicopter ride to a glacier in New Zealand in exchange for some beer for the pilots. It was spontaneous and amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's see... I played Ultimate Frisbee in college, so I can teach you how to throw a Frisbee properly! Besides that I'm always happy to help people improve their English, of course.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories, native English or C1 German, and my candid thoughts about what the hell happened in the 2016 elections in the US. I can teach you how to count to ten in Arabic or share my embarrassing stories as an expat in Vienna!
