Hi I’m Hannes from Germany!
my ultimate passion in life is traveling and charting unknown territories whether geographical or spiritual. Despite having studied medicine and living an urban life, I’m fascinated by nature and camp wild especially in summer. My wild camping trips are usually with the comapny of my girlfriend (Sidan). We love to hide deeper in nature away from human clusters where we enjoy seclusion, swimming, stargazing, meditating, and marveling at the various beauties of nature.
I’m very minimalistic and hardly have any attachment to material possessions because I believe that happiness only stems from genuine human bonds and cultivating the spirit. This is why I recently reduced my working hours to 8 days per month, and I believe that adventures and spending time with my loved ones has much more value than money.
My deepest curiosity in life is fathoming the depths of the conscious experience .Traveling and being in nature allows me to explore different realms of consciousness.
I also love going to techno music festivals, and hippie gatherings where people revive tribal ceremonies and share stories, food and love.
All the above mentioned view of the world is shared with Sidan too, plus she's very much into post-modern philosophy, literature, Buddhism and meditation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through some friends I realized that Couchsurfing is a wonderful platform where adventure seekers and free-spirited people gather. This is a wonderful way to inspire and get inspired and share many stories. When I travel abroad, I usually stay in hotels when visiting cities, but sadly the hotel experience is devoid of any warmth or spirit. I was a guest in a few houses in India and Australia and those were among the most memorable and intimate experiences I’ve had there.

Interests

I love cooking and have some experience in the Indian and Middle Eastern Cuisine.
I also do lots of trekking and rowing in summer.

My favorite music genre is techno, and I love the mix of techno with oriental music!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have been to a plenty of countries and have been camping wild with my parents ever since I was child. I would love to share my wild camping experience and would love to cook with my hosts/guests.
