ABOUT ME

I am currently doing my last year of PhD in mechanical Engineering in Singapore. I am travelling after a conference trip in Poland. I have travelled quite a few places around the world and also lived in China, Sweden, US, Singapore and France. Hope to share with you with all the places we've been!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

If I travel with couchsurfing, it's partially because it's quite expensive to pay for the accommodation somtimes(I am just a student yet), and also because I trust the people there in the place I am searching for a couch. But the reason is also that I would love to live as a local does and experience the authentic life in a real home. I have also been to many countries and lived in China, Sweden, US, Singapore and France before. I know hosts are usually also travel enthusiastics, so it would be great to share and exchange.

Intereses

I love diving and I have dived and snorkeled in different locations in South East Asia before. Also I am a marine fish/coral fan! I care about the environment and that's why I am doing research on energy system to combat the climate change, in the hope to save the corals and fishes one day. I also like to read Sci-fi, fantasy, and history books.

Música, películas y libros

Music: indie, alternative rocks, progressive rock, ambient and movie soundtracks. I also enjoy musicals a lot.
Books: so far my favorite is Homo Sapien, the brief history of humankind by Yval Harari.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Last year I went to Laos and together with a volunteer team of 16, we built a 2kW solar-battery system that provides electricity access to a rural village school 4 hours from Luang Prabang by boat. It was a truly fulfilling experience for me.
