About Me

Hi, I'm Harry. I love hiking, running, talking, reading, eating, cooking, drinking; anything to meet new people and have a good time with friends really.

I'm a second year uni student looking to travel and make friends wherever I can. I want to share stories and experiences with anyone willing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year, I had my first experience travelling to a new place alone. I spent two months in Peru and met some amazing life long friends. Living with a host family in which we had no language in common was an enriching experience and I can now say I have a second family in Peru. After making this trip, I want to meet more people, share more stories and here & see new places.

I want to experience as much of the world as I can, to discover as much culture as possible and encounter all different world views.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big lover of non-fiction books, particularly around the concept of happiness. My all time Holy Grail is The Organized Mind by Daniel Levitin sharing amazing ways to maximise the output of our brains and our limited energy. I'm currently reading Happiness by Design by Paul Dolan which looks at the economics of happiness by comparing pleasure and purposefulness behind our actions - a truly insightful read. However, there is one book that I consider a fantastic fiction read, though based on a true story - A Million Little Pieces by James Frey!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done to date is the water-touch bungee in Taupo, NZ. It was my first ever jump and the most exhilarating feeling going fully in the water... I had to go back up again and do it backwards.

Countries I’ve Visited
