About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Reskilling, have fun.

ABOUT ME

Alternative lifestyler living in suburbia. Transition Towns, permaculture, community gardens, seed saving, grafting, propagating, food gardening, guerilla gardening and reclaiming urban spaces. Earthships, strawbale, cob and other technologies with low embodied energies. Learning and sharing skills. I like variety, most activities, most music and people. Enjoy conversation over chai, coffee, beer, wine or time. A good party doesn't go astray. Passionate about nature and the natural environment. Want to continue trying new ideas, build your own, do it yourself and seeing what the world has to offer, both new and old.

PHILOSOPHY

Live simply, try not to consume too much.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies Food Inc., The Power of Community, Apocalypse Now
Music Rock to Opera - eclectic.
Favorite authors include Graham Greene, Alan Moorehead and Ernest Hemingway. I read a lot of informational material particularly on science and environmental topics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yes I've cycled round Victoria, dived with sharks on the barrier reef but I really get excited by seeing nature coming back to my garden.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are keen to visit I can share many skills particularly related to community engagement, permaculture and horticulture. I teach grafting, propagation, food gardening, environmental issues and contribute to a weekly radio program called "Back to Basics". I also keep animals healthy.
