Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, and some newer music, too. I've read more than 17,500 books so far, mostly nonfiction, including business and self-improvement.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I was walking across the quad one day, two friends ran into me at the same time. One knew Spanish and wanted to learn (American) sign language, and the other knew sign language and wanted to learn Spanish, so I stood there with them for about an hour and spoke in Spanish and signed (in English) at the same time, so each of them could learn the language they wanted to learn. My brain had to manage three languages (Spanish, English, and ASL) at the same time. That was 20 years ago, though, and I have forgotten some things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My kids and I can cook, clean, and do some basic home-improvement projects such as wallpaper stripping and painting. I can teach hosts about Navajo culture, including some basic words in the language. I can also teach hosts how to plan, write, and publish their book.
