Well, pretty much I'm focused on Northern California for right now. Hopefully to conquer and move onto other countries.

ABOUT ME

What does one say about the self?
I have stories. A lot of them book worthy material, that no doubt I will share as timing shows....

It's a dream of mine to be completely submerged somewhere quite, yet loud with beauteous surroundings. Whenever I think of the places I could be, I just get all wanderlust. There are very few places I have been and even fewer languages that I speak, but I'm an avid learner. I hope to change that as my life goes on.

I feel like I am meant to be somewhere else, rather than the place I am now.

PHILOSOPHY

...hm this is hard. I haven't really though much about a 'personal philosophy'. Not sure if I am philosophically educated to express myself in that way.

But, I do say a few things:

'Acceptance is key'

'I'd rather regret something I have done, rather than regretting something I did not try'

I have not yet begun to participate, but I have hopes to soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, but I have hopes that it will change. Although I have heard that it's a great way to travel.

Interessen

I draw and have interests in art. Writing is where it's at. Just recently I have been encouraged to keep up my writing by a professor, so I feel empowered to do so. I do play rugby on a local women's team. I love exploring- even if it's somewhere new in my county or state. I do a lot of photography.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

...music all types of music. I love it. The sounds the jingles the drums and the melodies played on the guitar. I just cannot get enough. I love, love, love Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden. As well as a few other artists here or there from The Cardigans, Billie Holiday and onto Protest the Hero to the classics like and the strange.

I read a lot. Just plain and simple. I read. I just love to. John Steinbeck is what I am currently reading.

I like movies: B-rated horror films, comedies cause I love laughing and so much more.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Well, I once went down a 120 foot water slide.
I got lost in the woods in Minnesota.
I got chased by a black mama bear. Scariest moment of my eleven year old life. (Minnesota)

I found my 'dream spot'.
Here's the story :

So, I have dreamt of this certain place. A field to give you that. In this field I would be surrounded by what seemed to be a vast nothing. The sky was open and blue. The field was golden and warm. Up hanging high in the sky was the sun and in the far distance is a green oak tree. Well, I went on a camping trip last minute with some friends up to a place near Pecatonica, IL in Winnebago county. Our first day there we were exploring the park. It wasn't until we stopped to eat some wild black berries (non-hallucinating)- I noticed through the black berry bush and some low hanging branches a 'no trespassing sign' on a wood post attached to a fence. A breeze rolled through moving the branches back and forth and a glint of this golden field came in and out of view from behind the branches.

I stopped eating the berries, just stopped talking all together to my two friends and headed towards the fence. My two friends thought my actions as suspicious and followed in suit. I pushed aside one of the low hanging tree branches and discovered this wide open field of wheat. I immediately dropped the berries I had in my hand and fumbled over the fence in a hurry with fear that this moment would disappear.

My first few steps into the field was shaky. I couldn't believe it. An overwhelming sense of Daja Vu hit me and all I could do was turn and turn, but kind of dance in circles in awe of the place I had just found. It was frankly unbelievable that place- a place from my dreams would be real. I recognized this place when I turned for one last time and saw the tree. It was out in the distance of the field, a little too far for me to feel comfortable walking to (it was someone's property that I realized we were on). This tree was tall and old, I could tell by the crazy growth of the branches and the leaves blowing in the wind that it was an oak. AN OAK! Down to the last detail..an oak tree.

I was filled with an emotion of completeness, like I had accomplished a mission.I felt wonderful and happy almost too happy to be in a field full of wheat, but hey... It was a moment that I would never forget. If I had the chance I would go back there again. Always, because it was the first time I knew I belonged somewhere. Like I was meant to see it, like I was meant to be there. Purely amazing.
