About Me

I want to see the world.

I am an outgoing, sociable person and I love to laugh. I am always open to trying and learning new things. I like meeting new people and chatting. I am athletic and I love food, new cultures and languages, and seeing the world. Also, I am a vegetarian and have been my whole life!

I think it is important to know as much as I can about the world. But, I also believe that having fun is key, because who even wants to learn if you aren't having a good time doing it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couchsurfing, as this is my first long-term travel experience! I hope to have lots to say soon though!

I love exploring new places and talking to people. I love long walks, runs, hikes and being outside. I like to read books, watch good tv shows and movies, and visit museums. I really just love learning, which is why I am taking a year off, outside of the classroom, to expand my horizons and experience new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music, my current favorites are Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Adele, Dixie Chicks, and U2 but I like almost anything. I grew up worshiping the Harry Potter series but my new goal is to read all the classics...which is a pretty big goal, but what better time to chip away at it?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I went on a 7 week long hiking trip on the Appalachian Trail in the US, and every single time I peaked a mountain, it took my breath away.

Last time I was in Gaudi's Cathedral in Barcelona, the sheer size and amount of minute detail that went into building it blew me away.

I try and find joy and surprise in everyday life, but hopefully this year of traveling will allow me to make this list much longer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share everything I know! Specifically, I can teach you about my life in Vermont, and help teach you better English. I would love to learn some of your native language, and the customs you have.
