To slowly naviagate the globe, but first... see every one of the former Soviet Republics, including Tajikistan
I live in Portland in a small apartment near the Old Port and not far from the University. I work and take classes some evenings, but I can show anyone around my city, or simply meet for coffee or a beer.
I love to travel and have met numerous people in Russia, and Eastern Europe that swear by their couch surfing experience. I want to return to Russia and also see some of the former Soviet republics, and would like to do that primarily through home-stays and hopefully couch surfing.
If something gives you that spark in life, go for it, no matter what others say.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would be happy to host anyone that would like to see the city of Portland or this part of New England. I live a short walk from downtown (and all the bars and restaurants). Next year, I would like to couch surf myself as I hope to return for another trip to Russia.
I have not couch surfed yet, but met many people travelling on the Trans-Siberian railraod that have had really positive experiences. That was what motivated me to sign up.
