About Me

Finishing my degree and then moving somewhere new asap

I'm an easy-going Brazilian guy going around the world. I've been described as spontaneous, sociable, sympathetic, calm but somehow talkative, respectful, etc. I don't know about these descriptions, but I believe that I have some good old common sense, and I probably won't annoy you too much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been hosting a lot of people, and I have surfed a few times. So far, all of my experiences have been great!

I have been to couchsurfing events, and I met some great people who were also traveling alone in Barcelona and Lisbon. As I returned to the USA, I decided to host a ton of people to make my life more eventful and interesting.

I'm into traveling for personal growth like everyone here. I'm into foreign cinema and music (and I'll probably be very interested if I have some suggestions for me), classics, and, of course, I'm very proud of Brazilian culture. I've been working as a web designer for about 10 years, and I'm certainly into every interesting thing that gives me good input to my "everything is a remix" process. Also, I'm learning to dance salsa, merengue, rumba, and bachata.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of years ago I went to Brazil to witness a miracle - my player Barney Stinson-like uncle had actually fallen in love and was getting married.

I remember a day when my 65-year-old grandmother passed her driver's license examination for the first time after 14 consecutive attempts. I don't remember seeing so much joy, as that old lady has gone through a lot in life.

When I was 18 I had 7 really good friends who sometimes had to fit in when I borrowed my father's tiny red Volkswagen Gol so we could cruise Brasília to go to concerts and whatever free event in town from Wednesday to Sunday. A magical era that won't come back to any of us.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been into design and making websites for a while, and I'd be glad to share that knowledge. I'm Brazilian, and I really enjoy talking about my culture and helping out with Portuguese language. I've lived in Paraguay for a few years, and I can surely help out with Spanish as well.

I'm open to learn about things and cultures that are not even on my plans - will welcome anything that crosses my path. I'm really looking forward to learn French.
