To see as much of Europe as possible in 22 days before moving to the US in August!

ABOUT ME

We are an easy going & laid back married couple. And while that has many upsides, the downside to two very relaxed people is it's incredibly hard to make decisions. We usually end up like the vultures in The Jungle Book. However, we are not shy and like to talk. We enjoy life and have a laugh while doing it. We have very thick skin and it takes a lot to offend us but on the flip side, we live by the golden rule and treat others how we'd like to be treated. Jordan had a proper Brummie English upbringing with some Canadian-isms thrown in and Heather was raised with Midwest American manners & sense of hospitality.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We don't have a house of our own YET and are currently living with our big boisterous family and a menagerie of pets in a house that’s being remodeled so we don’t have a couch (again, yet!) but if you're in the area, please look us up for coffee and if our schedule permits, a tour of the local sights!

Interests

We both enjoy travel! But also outdoor activities, soup, movies, music, playing with our two rabbits Jemimah & Totoro, Heather loves to read anything she can get her hands on, Jordan loves airplanes and anything aviation related.

Music, Movies, and Books

Heather: Books - from classics (Stevenson, Bronte, Dickens) to Top Ten fiction (Brown, Haddon, Meyers) to boring history text books, she will read pretty much everything. Jordan will read the newspaper and Harry Potter, but that’s about it.

Music - we both like most music genres but to name a few: Oldies 50's like Beach Boys & Motown. Classic Rock like Rush & Pink Floyd. Indie like Beck, Pete Yorn, Jack White, Coldplay, & Bombay Bicycle Club. American & Brittish Rock like Alice in Chains, Placebo, Muse & Kasabian. 60's & 70's pop like ELO, Abba and the ever amazing Beatles. 80's like The Cure, Depeche Mode, Hall & Oates & Duran Duran. Anything from Cafe Del Mar and Ministry of Sound.

Movies - Again, we usually like most movies but to name a few that we have watched over and over again that we if we are bored will sometimes recite by heart: Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Anchorman, All the Harry Potters, Howls Moving Castle, All comic movies like Spider Man, Batman, Iron Man, but special consideration to The Watchmen & Sin City, anything by Wes Anderson & Tim Burton, The Princess Bride, Beauty and the Beast, Pride & Prejudice, and anything by Rogers & Hammerstien (last three were namely Heather's choice but she secretly thinks Jordan does like them, but would probably only admit it on pain of death)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Heather: Met this incredible guy, fell in love and a year later I dropped out of school, got married, and moved to a different country with no money, no job, no home but two suitcases and visa in my passport. 5 years later, it is still the best thing I've ever done. Oh, that and skinny dipping in Hubbard Lake.
