ABOUT ME

My favorite thing to do is write/play music/sing with other musicians. When I'm not doing that, I just like hanging out with my friends around Chicago. I love trying out different types of food (although i have an allergy to gluten and casein so that makes it a little more challenging). During the week I work as a piano and voice teacher at an arts center in Chicago but on the weekends I like going to the movies, trying out new restaurants, and catching the occasional comedy show/friend's band. I'm working towards my undergrad degree in music education with a focus in voice at Northeastern Illinois University and live very close to the campus. I'm located in Chicago in the Albany Park neighborhood (on the north side of Chicago). When I'm not at school, I teach piano and voice at the Beverly Arts Center on the south side (which always has excellent artsy shows/events/plays going on if you're looking for something to do. Music, family and friends are the most important things in my life. I like dry humor and David Sedaris. I don't watch a lot of tv but I'm obsessed with Dexter. As of late I'm just trying to keep up with my work and school schedule and plan a trip to San Francisco over winter break.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've recently become ambitious about seeing the world regardless of my income and am searching for a place to stay in San Francisco between December 26th and New Years. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hm....I would love to be able to have an entire summer where I take a trip to somewhere new every weekend (since i have to work during the week). The farthest I've been from home was Colorado on a family vacation.I've never seen the ocean and I'm in school right now so sadly traveling is not in my immediate future. I will be completing my final semester of undergrad classes this fall and student teaching and graduating in the spring (2012). After graduation I'm going to audition for musician jobs on cruise ships and experience traveling that way for a bit.
