I live in Oamaru New Zealand and am now married to one of the most creative fellows on the planet - there are many of them I know! I started life in England, spent time in Botswana and moved to New Zealand in 1994.

My life is spent either running Literacy North Otago or preparing for the next Steampunk NZ Festival. There are times when I sleep and even take time out for a little bit of travel around New Zealand - usually for family or steampunk.

I am couch surfing because I am curious about people and I am at a stage in life where there reciprocity is important. There is so much good to share and trust to discover. A friend of mine here in Oamaru has the most interesting people to stay. I should like to be part of this delightful network.

I love music - mostly classical but I am pretty catholic about it. I play the violin, the piano and the mandolin badly and like to sing. Dancing is also important. I am currently taking ballroom dancing lessons.
My husband and I precipitated the Steampunk movement in New Zealand based out of Oamaru so that keeps us very busy.

and I will read just about anything other than horror.
