About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel more, explore, see, smell, taste, learn and share.

ABOUT ME

I'm laid back, soft spoken, funny, considerate, clean.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed for the first time during a 3 month trip to SE Asia a couple years ago in Singapore and Thailand. It was a great experience and were highlights of my trip.

Interests

Explore and understand different cultures through food, music, and casual conversation. Trying new foods, restaurants, and spending time at cafes. Foreign films, wandering at times, playing tennis, music, singing along, reading, snacking, being in the kitchen and watching things bake.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy different genres of music, from Rock, Spanish, Indie, country, to R&B. (MGMT, Faith Hill, Mana, Phoenix, The Cure, Alicia Keys, Bon Iver, Brazilian Girls, Whitney Houston...)

Usually drawn to romantic comedies, independent and foreign films, but I also enjoy action dramas and silly movies too. (Lost in Translation, Serendipity, Love Actually, Coming to America, films by Pedro Almodovar and Judd Apatow)

I seek out food genres for reading, like Anthony Bourdain or chefs' biographies. (i.e. Kitchen Confidential, Julia Childs My Life in France, Alice Waters Chez Pannise, Soul of a Chef, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying abroad in Spain one summer during college and I loved seeing and experiencing life in another country and traveling with new friends. Exploring the uniqueness of different old towns, the art, and Gaudi's cathedral. It is a beautiful country.

Cave snorkeling in Cancun Mexico was exciting and surreal, especially for someone who is not a strong swimmer and is scared of the water. I was able to see what I have only seen in nature shows.

---

Made 200 cupcakes and stuffed sausages, not in the same day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have open ears for relationship woes. I seem to be that friend. I would love to be introduced to good places to eat, and maybe even learn how to cook something new.
