Hello fellow couch surfers, world explorers and adventure seekers! About me....Scottish, I adore my country but can never stay there for long as my feet get itchy for new places, languages and cultures. Overall I am a pretty joyful person with a big open mind and lots of energy that I like to use working for good causes and helping others if I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm sorry that I can't host anyone on my couch but when I am able to again I will! I am also new to the place I am living in so can't show you it in the way a local would (yet!) but again, when I am back in Scotland or Mexico or Honduras I can welcome you!
For now, I am hoping to meet up with some of you other couch surfers here in Pau to hang out!

Interessi

So many things! I am in love with nature, especially swimming in the sea, be it the freezing Atlantic or warmer waters of the world! Walking in the mountains, diving, dancing, especially to Latin American music... learning new languages, living in different cultures. Being with my family, my friends. Laughing at bad jokes.
More seriously, I strive to understand global political and economic issues, conflict resolution and movement of migrants around the world.

Musica, film e libri

I can't get enough of music from Mali, wow!! From Rokia Traoré to Tinariwen to Ali Farka Touré, I love it. Pretty much all music from Latin America goes too, I love the sentimentality and expression. And Flamenco...me encanta!!

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Working with Central American migrants on their way through Mexico to the US was the most amazing, humbling thing I have ever done. Each was so determined to try and improve their life by getting to the US even though they knew they were risking their life just to get there. Their determination to change their lives, their gratitude for being alive, was truly humbling and changed the way I live my life.
