ABOUT ME

I'm a very down to earth girl - outgoing but shy at the same time haha? friendly at least!

I love sports, reading, and exploring different cultures and of course traveling. I really enjoy outdoor activities, and I am always up for trying new things.

I love to dance, and listen to music. Most people would describe me as perpetually happy and optimistic. Sometimes to a fault. I like to say I am high on life most of the time :)
My friends have lately taken to calling me "bad ass" from time to time because I own a motorcycle to entertain myself while being stuck in the same city for 4 years.

A little about me

I was born and raised in a not so exciting town and it took be until I was 22 years old to permanently break away (thankfully having travelled before then). Likely why I am constantly in search of the best place to live that would make me happy.

I decided to take a break from school for the 2009/2010 school year so that I could relax, travel and get my life sorted. I really didn't see a point in rushing through life. I learnt so much in my year off and saw so many beautiful places and met such great and interesting people. I will cherish these experiences forever. Alas, after that year I decided to hit the books again and started medical school.

I still try to squeeze in as much traveling as possible :)

It's hard to think of being a slave to your education and have your life restricted in some ways for a couple of years but I am so lucky to be doing something I love and call it work! Medicine offers so many opportunities and I could still travel so much and sometimes travel with a purpose of making a difference in the lives of those in need.

PHILOSOPHY

Live like you will die tomorrow, dream like you will live forever - live all the days of your life.

I want to live to make a difference, leave some sort of legacy. I want to avoid the trap of becoming overworked or forgetting to enjoy life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

this is something I would love to participate more in one day, when I have my own place. hosting couch surfers would be amazing and a cool way to have a break from your regular life come to you. Meeting people is always a good experience as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couch surfed before (with people I didn't already know anyway) but I've heard of people doing it and thought it sounded fun so I'm hoping to try it out a bit!
