ABOUT ME

I am easy going and love meeting people. It's great spending time with old friends and making new friends. I'm happy 4-wheeling in the desert or sitting around a table with great food, wine and friends. A good book is always my companion. I would love to travel more outside of the U.S. Other than Mexico, I've only been to Italy. I must say that I absolutely loved every moment of that beautiful country. Laughter is essential in my life.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make of it. Why be miserable and stressed when there are so many reasons to be happy. Enjoy this time we have on earth because it goes by so quickly. I am a Christian.

I am new to Couch Surfing and am just now getting involved in the community. I'm really excited to host and to surf myself!

Interests

My first love is hiking. Hiking the Grand Canyon, Rim to Rim, with my son was an amazing experience. I love to bike, swim, walk...anything out doors. I enjoy meeting people and having deep conversations. Learning is always on my priority list. I enjoy reading many different types of books.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love going to movies and reading! I don't have a favorite movie because there are so many great ones! I love comedy's, thrillers, romantic/comedy's. My favorite book is the Bible. I loved reading The Kite Runner and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo! And there is no music quite as nice as 70's Rock and Roll. Of course I also like Jazz, blues, top 40....I just love music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stood at the end of a rainbow and saw the different colors on my skin. It was so beautiful!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn many different languages. I'm embarrassed that I only know English. I love to cook vegetarian dishes and am always ready and willing to help someone in the kitchen. If you ever want to hike I'll be more than happy to show you great trails in this area!
