I am a young working professional in the arts. I travel a lot for work and am accustomed to staying in other peoples homes. I have recently discovered the joy of travelling alone in foreign countries. I am single and have a shih tzu/ poodle mix breed dog named Bailey who unfortunately stays at home. When travelling I am an early riser and am usually home in the evenings. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. Visiting museums and art galleries is always top of the list. Always interested in trying new foods and have a huge weakness for sweets and pastries as well as trying local beer and wine. When I'm home I'm usually working, watching movies, or hanging out at the local micro brewery with friends. My work allows me to see a lot of live theatre and dance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Usually while travelling I have stayed in hostels. I found it forced me to make new friends from different countries and was affordable. Since I travel alone and on a modest budget it sounded like the best idea. However, a friend recently recommended couch surfer to me and I thought it was a great idea to sign up! Since I travel alone there has always been that moment where I've felt lonely on a trip. It's also difficult to find those local secrets when everyone you know is also foreign. Since I am already accustomed to staying in other peoples homes from travelling for work I know how to be respectful and grateful for strangers opening their homes to me. I think I would be well suited for couch surfing. I would love to make new friends who are native to the area I am visiting and who would enjoy good company and conversation.

I bring my kind, funny personality everywhere I go and I love sharing advice I have learned from my travels. I am respectful, clean and grateful for any tips and wisdom a host can give me. I can't sing or dance but I am a good story teller and an even better listener. I always love to play cards and learn new board games with my host and their friends.
