We are Hila and Matan, a nice couple living in Tel Aviv, originally from Haifa. We really enjoy traveling around the world, and walking around the city with our dogs.

We decided to take a 1 year break from our jobs and start traveling the USA and Canada on May"22.

~ Shabat dinner at Haifa: We usually host in Tel Aviv, but if you visit Haifa on the weekend you are more than welcome to experience a traditional jewish shabbat dinner [Jewish Moroccan and Iraqi Cuisine].

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We like to introduce people to our local places in our town and hang out together. I think this is really the best and incomparable way to experience a new place.
When we travel, we would like to meet people that we can talk to, learn from and have fun, whether it's going together on a hike, simply drinking in the local pub or cooking dinner together.

Interests

We like to hangout in the city wether it be in the park or by the sea. Also, we like to try all kind of different and new food or drinks that we never tried before.
When we travel we like to experience local life, get to meet the local people and understand the culture, cuisine and traditions as well as hiking in the nature.

I broke my leg on a tiny island on the Philippines (that had no electricity!) but yet, continued to travel on a wheelchair :)
