My name is Hilda, I am 23 years old from San Diego, California. I'm currently in Europe for the first time and eager to explore different areas in the short amount of time in here. I will be in Spain until Monday, then I fly back home. My favorite thing to do is try different foods... I'll try it if it smells good. Just don't tell me what it is until after I've tried it!! Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hate traveling as a tourist, I want to know what truly gives the place i'm visiting it's charm, and who better to show me than a local. At the moment I am unable to host, I would like to meet up with locals from Barcelona have a bite and a drink.

Interests

I like to go outdoors a lot, camping, hiking, sunrise hikes are my favorite, climbing (mostly bouldering) I want to learn how to rope climb though!! gardening, reading, art, I draw sometimes, cooking, traveling. I like to talk to different people, get to know a little bit about their lives, their experiences and outlook on life. I love hearing different ideas, I feel like it helps me open my eyes to different thoughts and see things in another perspective. Im a very curious person I'm constantly trying to teach myself new things. Learning French will most likely be my next project. Ha

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of different genres. Rock, punk, folk rock, Spanish, classical, some hip hop, older music like rock-a-billy, love Sinatra, chuck berry. Anddd the occasional gangster rap... Ha. Some of my favorite artist/bands. Yeah yeah yeahs, metric, mana, dido, sinatra, Wanda Jackson, Johnny cash, the killers, Florence and the machine, josh garrels, Huron, vampire weekend, social d, drop kick murphys, Haim, los enanitos verdes. There's a lot actually.
Movies... I love period films. Like The duchess, and pride and prejudice, Mansfield park. Also one of my favorites is Shawshank Redemption, dark knight.
Books.. I live at the bookstore back home.
