About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Actually use my account and go places!

ABOUT ME

I recently graduated from college and am jumping into the workforce. I work at a non-profit agency and serve individuals with mentall illness. I am a single parent and a yogi. I love to travel and now have some time and abillity to do the things I have been dreaming of! I love to cook and love the outdoors. I am very laid back and enjoy meeting new people and having long philosophical conversations.

PHILOSOPHY

Stop fighting, start loving! One day at a time. To thine own self be true. Let go, Let God. Turn it over. Attitude of Gratitude.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm learning more about CS and trying to find ways to get involved! Open to suggestions!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I have been abroad, I would travel around to stay with different friends and other acquaintances on a word-of-mouth basis.

Interests

I like adventure sports. I have been hang gliding, skydiving and am interested in getting back into roller derby (I used to skate for the Brew City Bruisers in Milwaukee). I also LOVE scuba diving but haven't gone since my son has been born, I'm looking for great destinations to go scuba diving! I spend a lot my spare time doing service work in my community and of course exploring the outdoors with my son.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is always a hard question. Right now I am reading Brene Brown's Daring Greatly, on being vulnerable and worthiness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, walking across the stage for graduation.
The day my son was born.
The snow thunder that I saw on 12/21/12.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open! But generally other open-minded folks, anyone who likes to exchange stories over a good meal...there are so many lessons in life I don't want to miss any that I might need to hear.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In

South Africa, United States
